Njarunateel Utsavam

The 11th phase of organic rice farming under the leadership of Okal Service Cooperative Bank started by conducting the Njarunateel Utsavam.Former Cooperative Minister S Sharma inaugurated the function. Bank President Mr. T. V Mohanan presided over the function and member of the governing body Mr. K. D. Shaji gave the welcome address. Since 2018, the Bank has been cultivating rice in 25-acre land. Products such as rice, aval, appam powder and put powder are sold under the brand name 'Osco'. Construction of food processing unit 'Okal Agro Foods' is nearing completion for manufacturing these products. With this, the bank aims to spread rice cultivation in more areas, collect rice from farmers and deliver the products to the market. Board members T. P. Shibu, K.D Pius,P. M Ginesh,Secretary T. S. Anju, former Koovapady Panchayat President C. V. Sasi, bank employees, Green Army members, etc. were present.
